Bill Surkis, Former Quebec Regional Director Of B'nai Brith Canada, Arrested For Possession Of Child Pornography

Montreal, Ca.- Bill Surkis, 69, was arrested on two charges related to accessing and possessing child pornography. Surkis is the former Quebec Regional Director of B'nai Brith Canada, a Jewish advocacy group, and worked in the education field for 47 years. He served as academic dean at John Abbott College for more than two decades.
The child pornography was discovered after Surkis took his computer to a store to be checked out for viruses. People at the computer store noticed the images on his computer, according to CTV Montreal's Rob Lurie, reporting live from the Montreal courthouse. There were 23 videos, allegedly of child pornography found on Surkis hard drive. Surkis, a former Jewish community activist turned himself in, and spent the night in jail.
